I wore the jacket and waistcoat of my latest Cordings suit, with my purple 12 Wale Cordings corduroy trousers today in the retro clothing shop I work in.

The above photos don't show my 1960's Italian, purple mosaic brooch off I wore today, so I thought I'd post some pics of it, seeing as I went for a purple theme today.😉

Lilac polka dot Rhodes & Wood fine silk tie, usually sell for £125, but a fiver to me in the shop, along with a purple multi polka dot tie, also bought for a fiver at the same time.😉

Nice. Socks should always match the trousers said the Vicars mother on murder at evensong the other night.
Its on channel 5.

Yes, I must have about 15 pairs of different coloured and patterned dress socks now, that can cause quite a dilemma when deciding which to wear with various colours and patterns of tweed, corduroy, light weight wool and linen trousers.🤔 Before I bought them over time, I'd just wear beige socks which although being quite neutral would go with most trousers, they were pretty bland. Hence me deciding to build up quite a colourful sock ensemble.😉

Please someone take my bank card off me!!🙄
While out and about today I saw a chap wearing the coat below. On seeing it I had to stop him and ask what make it was. He told me it was made by Cordings, my favourite gents outfitters! I looked it up online and found it. I don't need it. I don't need ANOTHER coat to add to my large ensemble of coats, BUT I have to have it!!!!🙄 🧐

And I still haven't given up on this! 🤔 That Lovat green isn't an Army green like Moon bunny suggested it was.😉 I've read up about the Lovat colour. It was 'invented' by the Lovat family in the 1980's for tweed and tartan outfits. It's a blend of green, yellow, blue and grey, according to what I read. I asked customers their thoughts about it, in the retro clothing shop yesterday. All said it was a quality coat. One said he paid £1,500 for a Burberry raincoat that wasn't all that wonderful, saying with Burberry you pay for the name more than the quality of the item. Anyway, I'll keep thinking about it as it is a lot for a cotton and wool coat that would be more for looks, rather than practicality. If I were to buy it I'd wear it over my suits and jackets and trousers as it says the coat should be ordered in your size and not a bigger size as it is made to be worn over suits and jackets, not just over jumpers and shirts.

Bit too young fashion style, although if you don't end up keeping it they seem to hold their value quite well on ebay.

If you want that kind of style look out for a Barbour International original motorcycle jacket, or one of the limited edition Steve McQueen versions like this that pop up on Vinted and ebay every now and then -

I can't see that being properly waterproof so it's not for me, I'm just looking at a US military one on Vinted that's similar looking and only £25.00.

Why not go mad and get this instead - https://www.cordings.co.uk/fawn-inverness-mackintosh-cape.html
