Do you mean the ETSY one, or the Cordings one? If it's the latter, Cordings don't do 'poor standard'!! 🧐

The Etsy one. From my experience of Cordings which is regular news letters I can’t imagine them referring to something as 1930’s style.

I suspect you have many outfits so if you wore one each day how long before you were repeating that outfit. Yes it’s nice to get compliments about your outfit or your beard/ moustache but if you are continually up dating your wardrobe, look or style to achieve this. You are going an ever narrowing tunnel.

I don't wear 'outfits'. An outfit sounds like you wear the totally same combination of suit, shirt, tie, pocket square, socks, shoes, hat and gloves at the same time, on different days. I do have my favourite combinations, but most of what I wear each day is thought out the night before, or when I go to get dressed.

This coat is super heavy in a 27 ounce, should keep you warm wool, but it's only 39.5 inches in length. Meaning it'd sit on my knee, not below, which isn't a look I feel comfy with. It also looks a bit Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig, James Bond(ish), wouldn't you say? 🤔

My first thought was Roger Moore, it's a good looking coat, best one you've posted lately.

Not that shirt though. Looks like it came from a garden centre.

Its wrong with that coat Accers.

I have such dilemmas when matching a fedora hat with country, or town and city clothes. I try to wear a fedora with a narrow faux leather headband when wearing country, and a wide satin fedora with town and city, but sometimes I fancy faux leather with town and country, and satin with country.🤔

But the length would bug me every time I wore it. It'd need some very formal trousers, not tweed or corduroy to go with it, to smarten up the lower thighs and knees . I have such trousers, but they are a fine wool material, that aren't really suitable for our winter.🤔

I found this rain mac in the retro clothing shop I work in yesterday. The shop's owner said he'd bought it the other day, hence me not seeing it in the shop before. I've just tried it on as it was too cold in the shop yesterday to take my heavy overcoat off to try it on!🥶 I think it's a decent fit. Maybe slightly too big(ish), meaning it could be an XL size, but it's also quite generous, so I could wear a jacket underneath. It has a zip in warm, seems like made from wool liner for colder days, like yesterday!!🥶 It was made by Dannimac which was a quite high quality manufacturer of mainly rain and trenchcoats, who I

remember being quite well known in the 1970's and 1980's. As far as I can see there aren't any marks, stains etc on it, though the belt and wrist tightener buckles do have slight signs of wear, which is expected as the coat could be 40 years old. Seeing as I was thinking about spending £750 the other month on a Cordings raincoat, £26 is a bargain!😉

The coat is 46.5 inches long, and thankfully just covers my knees. Cue the Inspector Clouseau and Ultravox's Vienna comments 😏👍
