Heck! 95 quid now for a tie that was £75 the last time I looked, not that long ago.

I bought the same tie, about a year ago in a charity shop for £3.40!😉

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Very similar to the ties my dad used to wear. He didn't pay £95 for them I can guarantee that

Couple of recent bargains off the 'bay

Norfolk (shooting) coat, nice quality and condition. Usefully came with a pair of knee britches too. I've not quite got the nerve to be wearing it as a suit, but the britches will get used for winter hillwalking. Always rather fancied the Doctor Watson look of a Norfolk jacket. Make is Alpendale who I've bought excellent hillwalking kit from previously. Slight concern that I didn't on this occasion consult Mrs PP prior to purchasing. That said, apart from the pith helmet ("pith off" she said!) most of my sartorial choices have been approved of or at least tollerated. I even have the go-ahead to get a pork pie hat

And a pair of Grenson semi brogues for a whopping fourteen notes including post! These are surely £250 to £300 new even if I generally don't choose the high gloss "bookbinder" finish. I've been rather impressed by Grensons, who do very good quality Northampton made shoes at a pretty decent price. Cheaper than Cheaney and arguably a notch or two up the quality scale. OK Crockett's are nicer again but being twice as expensive I'm
not sure they are twice as nice

I haven't worn these Loake boots for quite a while. I had trouble getting them on today, as i couldn't/can't find my long length handle shoe horn. I must've wandered round with it and put it down somewhere in my flat. I tried using a wooden spoon, but with it having a flat handle it snapped when I started to bend the leather ankle back to try and get my foot in! I then tried a large metal spoon, which did the job but it was a struggle getting it out of the boot once my foot had gone in!

The boots look great however the high waisted trousers make you look like one of those old guys with elasticated waisted trousers who have white soled Velcro shoes.

Piss shoes you mean? I call them that as when I worked in an old folks home must be over 30 years ago, many of the residents wore velcro shoes as they were made of washable foam. When the resident had pissed down his/her leg, with it ending up in/on their velcro shoe(s), in the washer they went!! As for the boots, thanks, they do look good as they are made of polished leather, which is a posh version of patent leather, being less 'pleathery' than patent leather. As for the trousers, all Cordings trousers seem to be 'high waisters'. I now prefer high waist trousers to sit on waist trousers and especially over 'hipsters', which always feel to me like they are falling down!

More high waist trousers wear today!

They have these high waist trousers in my size. They look a bit 'flared bottoms' to me!!🤔

Anyway, feck it, I have more than enough trousers, the vast majority being Cordings ones in tweed or corduroy, although 2 pairs are made of linen, which are part of my 2 linen suits.
