I saw a shirt like that in a shop in the Alps and said to friend with me Mrs W would have a fit or worse if I bought a shirt like that. So he bought it for me and when she found us in the bar with me wearing said shirt I thought she might have a heart attack.
Thankfully when she found out our friend Mike had bought for a joke she calmed down.
I was allowed to go climbing in it where no one would see me wearing it.😱😎

I'd wear that on a hot summer's day, but only as a one off! I'd probably find such a shirt in the retro clothing shop I work in then ask the shop's owner if I could try it on at home, with him saying 'Of course you can'. Then I'd wear it for one outing, taking it back to the shop the following week, telling the shop's owner it didn't fit!!!🤫

It's still sooooo tempting!🤔 🧐 I can guarantee that I'll stand out like a sore thumb, but in a nice way!😬 I showed the pics of the coat to quite a few folk since posting it on CC. Most of the women said they liked it, but most of the men said they didn't. I looked the male detractors up and down. They all wore black or grey polyester garbs! I doubt their thoughts will have any influence on whether I buy it or not!😏

I think the Classic Magee Donegal tweed coat is much nicer and you wouldn’t look like you are trying really hard to make a statement.

If you need a new dressing gown, then it looks OK

Fair comment, but I already have three, worn every now and then such coats, plus two also worn every now and then duffle coats. I saw the coat in question and thought 'different'!! But over 6 hundred quid just to get that feeling, I don't know?🤔

Time was the only proper shirt for climbing was a Ben Sherman, button down collar.
Ask Kev, a.k.a. The Winter ascent of the Wrekin man.
