Mmm, sounds just like a situation where I'd get totally lost, or worst have a bump!🙄 I think I'll ask a neighbour if he fancies a day out, with him driving. He comes from Bradford/Huddersfield way so he's familiar with those roads, and often offers to take folk here and there for a tank full of petrol, or diesel in his case. Fifty quid of fuel will save me a lot of hassle, plus it'd cost me 20 quid in petrol if I went in my Fiat 500, which I don't fancy at all!😕

£20, what are you doing, driving all the way there in third gear? 🤣

My dirty diesel Mondeo will do around 150 motorway miles for that amount.

I'm taking into account it could be a longer journey than anticipated, as in I end up in somewhere like 35 miles away as the crow flies Leeds ffs!! 🙄 😬

A friend looked up rail travel to Mytholmroyd on her phone just a while ago. She read that you can catch a train from Accrington to Hebden Bridge, then a train to Mytholmroyd. The train runs every hour on weekdays and costs only £10 for a return ticket. How far is Mytholmroyd railway station from the clog makers though? If it's say a mile, that's too far for me to walk!🤔

Under a minute of diligent research revealed that it's less than a ten minute walk from the station - there's even a map on Walkley's home page! Right out of station along New Road, R again along Burnley Road, then L onto Midgely Road to find Walkley Clogs on the L.
You could even buy a new collar for your mutt.

Can you take dogs on trains? I know you can take them in Walkley Clogs as I've seen photos of various dogs in there, on their Facebook page.

Yes but whether you need to buy a ticket for them I’m not sure. Do you not access to google to find these things out.

We’ve got a loooong flight and at M&S today bought a pair of straight legged men’s Jogger trousers (navy blue) with elasticated drawstring waste. They are so comfortable and stretchy for the flight plus no belt to remove at security. Thinking about another pair now for evening wear?

Used to be free, I often took my GSD on the train up to Derbyshire. Staff on the train loved him and I wondered why so asked one time to be told "If someone was rowdy on the Train they wouldn't do it if there was an Alsation nearby" seems it keeps em quiet although how a scruffy (just spent a few nights in a tent) long-haired bloke could be mistaken for a 'security guard' of any description beats me.
