The social attitudes of Denmark, countryside of north-west Scotland, cycling facilities of Netherlands, food & wine of France, sleeping patterns of Spain. I'd stick with our climate, but with proper winters.

Since when was posting on topic a necessity for CC? Anyway I did contribute, so.... bite me!;)

Not got issues with drifting Off Topic at all, I am always doing that.

But Pedantic posts picking on posters spelling and highlighting errors, when it is clear as day what they mean why bother? It is one of the most irritating traits of posters on here, alongside that is not reading a post properly, I did say thanks for getting back on topic

I like the emphasis of socialising as a Family in the quieter parts of Spain.

Although when you walk round at midnight at 2 year olds are still up playing on the swings in the square its a bit much... I like the kids to g tho bed a bit earlier so the wife and I get a bit of peace.

So really, you don't buy into the whole Spanish thing at all, do you? Only as much as it suits you...

I only have experience of Ireland, France, Belgium, Denmark and Mexico - I'd say Irish breakfast, French food, Belgian beer and chocolate, Danish general loveliness and Mexican pyramids. With a Dutch cycling infrastructure and attitude, of course, from what I've heard.

I also don't see the point of the turn right(left) on red. Waiting's no big deal.

It makes sense if, as in the US, people never walk anywhere. In the UK, cars should wait so people can cross the junction. We don't want more barriers to walking & cycling...

I went to an Italian hotel several times for work, where you could select cake for breakfast from the buffer. I don't know if this is traditional for Italian breakfasts, but seems like a good idea to me.

In the perfect country the police are English; the chefs are Italian; the car mechanics are German; the lovers are French and it's all organized by the Swiss.

In the real world the police are German; the chefs are English; the car mechanics are French; the lovers are Swiss and it's all organized by the Italians.
