Porridge for brekkies today 🥣
We have kingfishers on the canal and quite often see. They're territorial and will move from one favoured spot to another. If you see the flash of blue often looking ahead on the same side of the canal and one can see the little chap on his next favourite tree branch. There are some spots where one can often spot one if approached very quietly.I’ve never been lucky to see one up close perching, but I often see the flash of blue as they fly down the river.
I am also on porridge.
Problem is there is nothing to put on it so it's very bland, I don't fancy putting sugar on.
I don't add sugar or syrup to porridge (or cereals, either) A bit bland, possibly, but I don't mind.. 👍
I have porridge every morning, summer or winter. Perfect fuel especially for a cyclist.
Made with milk and a banana, nuts and honey added.
Yum!
Good morning. Sunny and breezy. That will do and hopefully will dry up the overnight rain as I have grass to cut and allotment work to do - everything is growing so fast now we've had a few days rain. We have a new electric mower. The instructions are quite clear it should not be used on wet grass, I'm not keen on testing that out.
So we had #1SP and her sister #3SP yesterday. 4½ years and 6 months respectively. When I got home I handed #3SP to Mrs P and muttered "I've forgotten what to do?" Anyway all went well but we were exhausted. I felt very honoured #3 chose me for her two naps. Comfy Granddad. Not much on today. I'll try to get household admin done while waiting for outside to dry up. Some tidying and dusting perhaps to clear the way for a quick hoover round etc. tomorrow.
