just finished watching Dr Who up to date

no idea where they are going now but I don;t think it is the obvious

looks like we will find out soon
but only if you have a TARDIS and can go forward a year or so!!!

anyway - going to the cemetery tomorrow
It's OK - I have the keys

(OK OK - the Food Bank Office is there and they want a meeting about something they want me to do regarding computers
it just sounds cooler saying I have the keys to the cemetery - and freaks out the grand-daughter!!!)

Why do you lock the cemetery gates, are you expecting a breakout!

I have had mains powered electric mowers since I first had a house - about mid 1980s

I have never had problem mowing if the grass is wet other than it jamming up the blade
basically they normally depend of air flow to either push the grass down and away - or suck it up and into a collector

if the grass is more than a bit wet then it clumps up and can jam in a ball between the blade and the frame

The system is generally pretty waterproof
although clearly you should use it via one of the cutoff plugs!

Yes, I agree and I'm sure you're right. I've just decided not to risk it. Electricity scares the living daylights out of me. I turn off the ring main to replace a light bulb. I have a friend who's an electrical engineer, worked in a lofty position for BNFL, who smiles at this before agreeing if one's unsure it's best to treat it with respect and caution.

Good morning all.
It's hammering down here.
I think I'm in for a boring tv day.
We went through my pack of medicines yesterday. There is only on that I really dislike and unfortunately I have to take it twice a day. Its 2xsoluble tablets that make me gag.
I do add cordial which helps.

I'm conducting a Clinical Trial on myself at the moment 😁. Been taking a 500mg B5 tablet daily. The tablets's very big and I struggle to swallow it. I have a 1pint glass of water with cordial ( Poole Beer Festival 2012 at the moment šŸŗ ). My technique is to take a preliminary slurp then chuck the horse tablets in my gob and immediately take a further slurp) Works most of the time.

That’s a high dose. What are you hoping it achieves?

I take a high dose B2 as it’s supposed to help prevent headache/migraine. I think it does help a bit .

Good morning. It's been wet overnight and we still have steady gentle rain which is forecast till lunchtime. Glad I got the grass cut last night but no allotment work done or possible today.

@Dave7 delighted to see you're home. I do hope you're feeling better now.

u3a cards group this afternoon and later I've got a meeting to start organising the u3a Summer Celebration.......basically a get together with buffet lunch.

I need to crack on, tea to make (fish pie), ironing, dusting, etc. Most important of all I seem to have run out of flapjack 😱😱😱 time to make some.

Hoping it helps with the fatigue. I was on a Zoom call where a proposed Clinical trial recruitment was being discussed. These take quite a while to get off the ground ( 2027 at the earliest ). The specialist involved was asked by another patient about self medication and said by all means go ahead as B5 ( pantothenic acid ) has not been found to be toxic even in very high doses. All the candidates for the trial will have a " wash out " period before the trial commences.
Who knows, In Edinburgh I failed to beat Mrs Tkk's time that she achieved in the GNR. There’s a rematch at the Kelpies half in September and I need all the " marginal gains " I can muster 😁

Yes, the b vitamins are water soluble so excess is just excreted so are pretty safe even in high doses. Hope you notice an effect.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
