I'm up again.

Main thing today is taking SWMBO's in-laws to the airport

I got volunteered because he can;t take them and our grand daughter is going with them
just 3 days in Zurich
I reckon she is keen to go as it gets her 3 days away from her brothers!!

anyway - I am going by their timings but they have moved it 30 minutes earlier than the original suggestion
I hope they realise that I drive at the speed limit!!

anyway - dunno after that but I might feel the need to hoover the car our
and maybe wash it before any hosepipe bans come in!

Damn. Just reading they have drastically shortened today’s race so not much chance of Oscar Onley managing to take any time back. Two of the climbs gone.

Why is this Mo?

Why is this Mo?

Apparently there is some disease in the cattle
I presume that they don;t want lots of people (or any people) going between the areas with and without it

however, this sounds like something they should have known a few weeks ago and found a possible alternative route
although getting the villages to pay to go through them might have been a problem at short notice and under pressure

Good morning. Grey and dull here. Today begins five, yes FIVE, days of childminding. We pick up #2SP at 1.15 and she is staying until sometime Monday - her parents haven't deigned to give us a time. Then on Tuesday we have #1 and #3 for the usual day. Gonna be tough.

#2 Dad is cross with me. Our timing is tight today as we have to be the other side of Clitheroe by 2.30. I've nagged him about collection time for #2 from her nursery. Yesterday I rang the nursery and made all the arrangements. This morning Dad wanted to know why I did this? "Don't you trust me to organise it?" .........I've already asked him three times and he confirmed the times to me at 10.00am today - 3 hours before pick up time...............GRRRRRRRRR

Good afternoon folks. Granddaughter has just gone home following a double sleepover, as ever I ended up sleeping in the put you up that she usually sleeps in, while she was sprawled across my side of the double bed. Once I gave up and moved to the other room I had a really deep and comfortable sleep, the extra bonus being that if I had fallen out of bed there's not far to go to the floor 😁. Pondering on this better and deeper than usual sleep I realised that my body was orientated N-S whereas the main bed is W-E. This brought to mind the tosh about body orientation that does the rounds every so often:
"Many practitioners specifically recommend avoiding sleeping with your head pointing north (in the Northern Hemisphere) due to potential magnetic interference with your body’s natural processes. Instead, sleeping with your head pointing south may provide optimal benefits according to this theory."
As a reward for my childminding I may wander up to the Tap and Grape in an hour or so and reward myself with a refreshing pint of Faith from North Brewery 🍺
