My old car started playing up last week. The engine manament system kept cutting out. The local garage looked at it but their auto electrician, James, was away and they couldn't find the fault. Over the weekend it stopped altogether, luckily James is now back. The car went in yesterday, still no word. It's beginning to sound expensive.

In other news, telephone consultation with urologist later today. Fingers crossed for that.

Had my hair cut. Still no women queueing to see me (no men either fortunately).
Been to Heron foods and they are cheap for a lot of things eg on the frozen ready meals.........
2 meals eg curry or Chinese chicken
1 large egg fried rice
1 large bag prawn crackers
All for £6.00......and the meals are excellent, full of chicken etc.

TBH I only tried them a while ago as I got a voucher from Love2Shop and Heron are the only local food shop that take them.
Anyway, the voucher was declined .
Tried again today.......same result.

Just back from a decent spin, 37miles and 2800ft. Mostly dry but a bit of drizzle near cafe stop so was good to get in for a warm.
One thing though after the recent rain, I went up one lane which farmers had obviously been up and it was like a ploughed field. So much mud my rim brakes got clogged up so much just riding through it I had to stop and clear it out as the mud was acting like a brake!
Just back in after giving bike a thorough wash. Might be a while before out on road again looking at forecast, certainly in this country.

It’s bad around here at the moment too. I think it gets worse with the shorter days. Counted 4 different lots on the pavement on the way up to the Co-op when I walked up earlier.

When you say hotdog, was it with the traditional type sausage that you get from eg a street seller ?
Not had one of those for so many years.
Watery onions, loads of runny mustard and ketchup.....yummy.

MrsP is happy.
On price comparison sites she could get the price down a bit, so a phone call to the AA ended up with exactly the same cover but for £66 less than the renewal quote.

I am with the AA. When my renewal price came, it was a massive £1 a month more than last year so I am staying with the AA for another year at least.
