When you say hotdog, was it with the traditional type sausage that you get from eg a street seller ?
Not had one of those for so many years.
Watery onions, loads of runny mustard and ketchup.....yummy.
Edit
Oh, on a soft roll as well.

Yes with a soft roll and mustard

I am with the AA. When my renewal price came, it was a massive £1 a month more than last year so I am staying with the AA for another year at least.

Insurance prices make no sense to me. My existing provider whacked the price up so I shopped around.
AA were easily the cheapest. I went back to my existing provider who offered me a measly £15 off the new quote. So I went with AA.
My Bro was with the AA and their renewal quote was a big increase so he shopped around.
He got a much better offer and phoned the AA but they wouldn't budge.....so he went elsewhere.
Where is the logic in that ?

Serious question (to you, Mo and other singles).
If I buy eg a jar of something like that they won't freeze and I feel overfaced by HAVING to eat them.
I therefor tend to buy stuff eg sausages that will freeze.
How do you get around that ?

I thought you would ask me that, take the jar of hotdogs, what I do it I take one out and "open freeze" them ie freeze them separately so they don't stick, once frozen put them in a plastic bag, I do the same for sausages, black pudding ect.
I have a shallow tray in my freezer for this purpose and I put grease proof paper on the bottom so the food does not freeze to it.
When I buy fresh fish I wrap them single portion in cling film and then into plastic bags.

Took the manageress, some flapjack and flask of hot choccy to our local beauty spot overlooking the Severn Vale with views to Hay Bluff, very nice.

Was about to leave when I spotted a guy kitted out with a paraglider so we stopped to watch, I've never done it myself but I do know a bit about flying - when we arrived there was a constant slight breeze coming up the escarpment, by the time this guy was ready to go the breeze had dropped to nothing with occaisional swirls (like being in the eye of a storm). He took several attempts to get the wing to fly but the random swirls would collapse the wing - I kept saying to myself nope don't do it but of course he did, he ran towards the ridge had to lift his legs to clear a fence and face planted just the other side of the fence - he was OK but I bet his GoPro footage doesn't make it onto Youtube!

A lot of this sort of thing, sometimes make a big stew and divide it out into individual portions and freeze them. I do the same for soup.

My old car started playing up last week. The engine manament system kept cutting out. The local garage looked at it but their auto electrician, James, was away and they couldn't find the fault. Over the weekend it stopped altogether, luckily James is now back. The car went in yesterday, still no word. It's beginning to sound expensive.

In other news, telephone consultation with urologist later today. Fingers crossed for that.

The car fault turned out to a corroded earth connection so easily fixed and PSA levels are stable so just another test in six months. No excuse for not getting out walking or cycling now.

Even though we are a couple we do similar. Chicken breasts, chops, bacon, fish, bread and a lot of other things. Just an example eight large chicken breasts in a pack. I will usually slice them in half lengthways, wrap in cling film and freeze. Bacon I freeze in batches of three rashers and wrap in baking paper.

This avoids a lot of waste and gives us the right portion sizes.

Yep, I do the same** but I thought that those sausages in a jar did not freeze. Turns out they do.
**I buy sausages in packs, wrap them in 2s to freeze..... same with bacon.
