Baltic here. A bit of condensation on the windows so I’ve stuck the dehumidifier on.

It’ll be a padded jacket for my walk.

Just got dehumidifier out this morning too! great minds think alike. Its time to get the wood burning stove up and running . Everything in garden feels cold and clammy

Yay! Fish Friday!
We shall be going down to the harbour later so MrsD can test out her new eye - I'll have her spotting buildings on the Welsh coast, across the channel.
Cider beckons at lunchtime and we shall have fish & chips delivered this evening.

Riverside trail walked. I met a guy I know with a young Cocker Spaniel who he was walking for someone and chummed him round and had a good blether. That'll be my socialising for the day.

The weather is on the change. I could feel it warming up on the way round and I think we are due some showers and strengthening wind later.

Mrs Tkk put my down jacket in the wash. She followed all the instructions but it still came out knackered with the down in clumps.
First I knew about it was when the postie delivered a package and she handed it to me saying " this is for you " and telling me about the laundry disaster. It was a lovely down jacket from Alpkit. I've not worn it yet apart from trying it on, but it felt toasty when I did.
Meanwhile I dug out the original " ruined " jacket, rewashed it as recommended, and then did a short tumble dry / shake and tease out the clumps / tumble / shake / tease until the jacket was back to its former state. It's become my house jacket/ outdoor garden jacket. There's several bits of sticky tape where I've snagged the jacket and tiny bits of down were poking through, but it's sort of my favourite " do anything " scruffy top.

I got an excellent padded jacket from Proviz last year. It's nice and cosy and totally reflective when car lights hit it. Really pleased with it. I have several of their jackets now plus a gilet, beanie and gloves all nice and reflective.

Well apparently we have the grand kids overnight tonight

and they are here all day on Monday

and then we have them overnight again on Thursday

I suspect it is half term
school holidays are a right pain!!

Just nipped out for another quick couple of miles as we are due rain any time now.

I might try and get myself motivated to start back on the Wattbike this afternoon and just do a short Zwift ride.

I've just got back from the morning dog walk. It's lovely in the sun, but the wind is chilly today, 10⁰ c.

The morning is going slowly today, I'd go out for a walk if I felt better, but it's only 8.7c
now and will freshen up a cold.

Just had an Email from Octopus Energy to say that there's free electricity for an hour this evening between 9 and 10 pm apparently there's a fair bit of spare generation from the wind. One of the issues is that the cables from Scotland down to where it's needed aren't big enough to carry the power, so they pay the wind farms to " curtail " ( switch off, sell it locally ).
I was reading about how Austria has reacted to some of the objections to Pylons a creative way.
