Hmm!

We have just given ourselves a telling off for getting up late.

Mainly because we are slothful and partly due to Mrs SD being a little bit loving (hope that works for the rudery police 😁) last night.

But our plan for today was:

1 trip to tip to get rid of more attic junk.

1 trip to St.Johns Air Ambulance charity outlet to get rid of unwanted decent stuff.

Go to town to take Mrs SD's mega-bucks watch in for a service.

Whilst there I was to buy some new joggy bottoms and a couple of fleece tops.

Then off to VW to book the car in for pheasant damage repair and to commence early doors sparring for next new car.

And do the weekly shop on the way home.

And...

... we have done naff all off of that list!

Shocking really!

Have a more productive day all!

I once had the loan of one of these for a few weeks. If I was a single man it would be hanging over the fireplace. It was the most stunningly beautiful bike I've ever seen......including any I've owned!!

Classy steed!

I had bright yellow tape on a MTB yonks back.

The tape was peppered with little black skull & crossbones. Looked really cool.

I think rim brake bikes looked a bit classier?

My titanium Sabbath looks quite good to me anyway.

My daughter wanted me to go to one of those meeting type things for single old farts. I am not interested in meeting anyone after Sue.
A local pub used to 'host' one every Tuesday morning. Free coffee/tea and bickies. Just to meet different people. Sounds good but I didn't go. I had a vision of walking in and everyone already being in groups of people they already know.

Mrs Tkk was a nurse and several of her colleagues would go to the singles evening at a local club / bar. Some people referred to it as " Grab a Granny " night, her colleagues called it " Pick a Dick " night. 😁

:hello:Afternoon, I've been shopping at Sainsburys there was a lot of items in short supply
either people have been stocking up or it's the snow holding up deliveries.
I see the government after a few good men, but I think they have stopped doing home guards.

Pffft!
Morning. Minus 4 and I am now fed up of the cold. Feels a long time yet until spring.

We have 16 (60F) here in Florida. But then we also have the snowbirds who leave the lows temps to come down here from the north and suck up our warm. They also clog the roads with their cars and bodies, cause crashes galore and make general nuisances of themselves. Then when the spring comes, they all go home and then we start getting 35º days with high humidity. I'll take the cold.

Car tax renewal.......is it me ??
Just had my renewal reminder in the post..... .....£315 !!!!
Can't recall last years price but I dont recall it being that much.

A
£315 annual car tax payment in the UK (for the 2025/2026 tax year) applies to cars registered between March 1, 2001, and March 31, 2017, which fall into tax Band H (CO2 emissions of 166 to 175 g/km)

Thought tourism had slumped in Florida due to a certain orange cretin?
