Pffft!
Thought tourism had slumped in Florida due to a certain orange cretin?
It has but you'd hardly know it. Mostly those who camp here.

.I often think this when I hear about online dating. People complain how difficult it is to meet a single man/woman.
Did they never experience the terrible nervousness, fear of rejection and overall shyness of our youth??? You'd spot a wonderful looking girl across the room. Your options? One!!! There was only one. Walk over and speak to her with what seemed like the eyes of world looking on. The fear of instant rejection hammering at you.
As a young man it was truly awful...........fortunately Mrs P "chatted up" me. We probably wouldn't have met otherwise. I still recall being gobsmacked the following lunchtime when this vision walked into the pub. We'd arranged to meet. I didn't expect it to happen though.
In my youth, I had a part-time job delivering newspapers. There was a small group of female “followers”, who were, shall we say free with their favours.
However, at the youth club, there were two “stunners”, they were twins, Pat and Margaret., and, regarded as “unattainable”. I actually got to walk Pat home one evening, and, was rewarded with a kiss. That was the height of my success in that quarter 😂
I was, briefly, held in awe by my fellow newspaper delivery boys, but, it didn’t last. ☹️
On the subject of being “chatted up”. Mrs @BoldonLad and myself met when we were 38, and, both on “second attempt”. I felt that I did the “pursuing”. However, recently, Mr Boldonlad (whose Alzheimer’s has weakened her discretion, sometimes), explained to me how herself, and her sister, had plotted to “trap” me, from day1! So, unknown to me, I was “the hunted”! 😂
I briefly had a fling with identical twin sisters. Beryl and Brenda. I had a motorbike but never knew which one was my pillion. I often think of them, purely because it was a magical time of my life.
In today's topsy turvey world it could be Benny and Bernard.
Seeing the news recently seems like society in some quarters is slowly unravelling. I worry where it'll end up.
