@Dave7 I was working on a Kibbutz in the Jordan Valley, by Sea of Galillee, in 1976/77. An Iranian lad, Reza, asked me and a few others if we fancied getting hold of a car/van/something with wheels to drive to Tehran and stay at his place..
He was a lovely fella, great fun to be with, but a total nutter in so many ways....
I, too, politely declined.
Shame, really, as it would have been an interesting time being just before it all went pear shaped!

Barnet,
Good morning all.
Last nights mist and frost has disappeared, we are in for a damp drizzerly day.
All the animals have been fed and medicated. Harry has come in, and is now asleep on the bed, the two females have gone out. Millie went out into the garden and is now resting after her breakfast.
My first mug of tea has been drunk, time for another. :cuppa:

Morning all :hello:

I'm still in bed as well, although I'm perfectly fine.
Dull and drizzly out there.
Off to the Railway Inn for lunch later.

Good morning from a grey but warmer Dorset. Mrs Tkk and I ventured out for a run yesterday, got a hundred yards up the road and turned back due to it being too slippery underfoot. A bit like " The Archers " I have become addicted to following the " Dissolve a Marriage " thread, totally fascinating. I have Richard Gere pencilled in for the role of @classic33. Nothing planned for today, will probably run in the rain to test my new " Harrier " running jacket.

I had 8 days in Israe in the 80s and visited lots of places. I was based in Tel Aviv and got far north, galilee and down as far as Eilat (3 days diving). Ohh and Jerusalem. A fascinating country.
