Morning

We have the grand kids - they stayed overnight "so their parents could do something nice for Mother's Day"

I didn;t enquire further

but apparently they are being picked up earlier than usual because their Mum wants to see them

I am presuming their Dad will bring some presents etc

and he better bring something for his Mum as well!!!

Anyway - middle one always wakes up early so has come down with me - plus his 100,750 "teddies" (cuddly toys that he HAS to have with him

5 year old might wake up soon - 13 year old - only the Gods know!

Morning all, another frosty start to the day here, 2⁰c and the sun is shining.
Our Daughter is coming over some time this morning, and so is our Son. So I am cooking American style pancakes with maple syrup, blueberries, strawberries and sliced bananas also with squirty cream on top. A bit of a calorific monster, but they are really tasty :hungry: :hungry:
I'll need to get out on the bike later to burn off a few of said calories before listening to the Liverpool v Spurs on the radio later this afternoon.

I must google the difference between English and American pancakes.

I must google the difference between English and American pancakes.

English pancakes are made with plain Flour, American style are made with self raising so rise a bit when cooking, and are generally a little smaller in diameter but thicker than English ones.
