Good morning. The forecast is 90% rain and 12-15mph winds. We have clear skies, sun and no breeze. My bike is sat in the yard waiting for me. I can hear her purring with delight in anticipation of the ride that is ahead of us. Anthropomorphism rules. OK.
We did have more rain. 8-10mm again. The growers will be delighted. This is the golden level of rain, gentle, over a prolonged period so every drop is captured and soaks in to the soil. Good news.
Right. I'm off. I need to get my kit on, fill bottles, prepare snacks. It's a great route today into the
Ribble Valley, the one downside is a really slow guy is joining us. This is a problem. If we don't announce we're riding we look mean and anti-social. If we do we get someone turn up who simply isn't up to the ride. I suspect we won't wait as we're all sick to death of it. The older we get...................
