Good morning! It is damp, cold and miserable out there. So pleased I banked the stove up. Chucked a bit more on at 6.00am and it's toasty round here. Today I'm going to SpecSavers, eyetest then choose some glasses. I've always used Boots but the price difference is so great there's really no choice to be made. Agonised over this decision as I've always had great service at Boots.

I really must make an appointment too. It’s been over 3 years and I feel my sight is deteriorating. We have a good local independent. Their frames are bloody pricy though. Most are around £300 for a bit of plastic. Hopefully, I can just keep the same frames and get new lenses. I had the start of cataracts at the last test which are maybe slightly worse I think. I know bright light really bothers me so I never drive at night or in low sun now. I barely drive much now anyway so it’s not much of a problem.

Due to health issues we had a private home visit recently.
He spent a long time on various tests but they were soooo expensive.
We bit the bullet and went with them but 5 weeks later are still waiting for our specs.

Don't forget the Specsavers any reason you like no quibble replace or refund guarantee.

Even if you just don't like your new glasses they will stump up.

Specsavers is going to be +/- £180 for two pairs of single vision mid-distance glasses. What I term "computer glasses" as these suit me for screen and reading.

Very impressed with the service today. Polite, helpful and friendly. A much better range of affordable frames to chose from than Boots. I can get frames I like from Boots but for double the price.
