That is weird.
We have blue skies at the back. No sign of snow.
Just been to the front and the road and pavements are covered in snow/hail. Fresh as there were no footprints or tyre tracks.

We stayed in a cottage at Spean Bridge (North of Fort William) some years ago.

It was nestled between 2 ridgelines.

Winter storm came in for an hour or so.

When it stopped one ridge was completely plastered in snow whilst the other remained totally clear.

Looked very odd.

Unsuccessful mission to ASDA for water jug, but I did manage to get four cans of Stout 🍺😎
Lots of birders with scopes and cameras around the backwater, bike shop had a couple of Cargo bikes in the window display but no longer stock Brommies. Empty unit next to the bus station had a poster advertising “ Poole Cycle Hub “ as coming soon 🚴‍♀️

I've just spent a night in A&E, I'll live to fight another day- more to follow after I've had a sleep

I had a heartburn pain ( do suffer from heartburn and have meds for it) and it was quite bad that was at 19:00 and took two Gaviscon tablets, but it was still there two hours later so took two more, but still no good at 21:45 I phoned NHS 111 told them the story and they got a doctor to phone me back, he said for safety sake I will call an ambulance to check you over.
Ten minutes later the ambulance arrived and they gave me a ECG, and they said a trip to the hospital will be in order, had another ECG in the ambulance and off we go, had two more ECGs and bloods taken and then bunged on a trolley in the corridor to wait my turn and was having my BP and temperature taken every 2 hours.
At 05:00 I was taken to a cubical in the main A&E and stayed there for another two more hours then a doctor came round and said your ECGs are fine, so we think it is a severe heartburn and go and see you own doctor......Phew what a relieve.

Do you not take Omeprizol for it?
I have/had suffered heartburn for 50 years. Every day it was Gaviscon.
They put me on Omeprizol and it was immediate relief.
Over 5 years now and never had heartburn since.

I had planned to drive the 780 or so miles to Albuquerque New Mexico, leaving yesterday to get to Denver CO and then to Albuquerque to get my sister who was to help with setting up a sellers stall at an indoor flea market. Her aged Brussels Griffon became ill and she decided she did not want to travel with an ailing pooch so I am on my own for a while although I may go get her later depending on the weather and the poor old dog. Because I can't really visualize how I will set up the space, which I will occupy as of 2/1, I will use some painters tape and set it up in my family room and send her pics for her opinion and pricing of the items. As things sell I will replace them and it may take a couple of years to get rid of all the stuff. What a PITA.
We had a little snow yesterday as well, continuing today. The last snow has melted and refroze in spots, which when covered by an inch or two of new are amazingly slick. Walking home from the bike shop I encountered such a spot and of course fell on my butt. The area of slickness was large enough so I had to crawl a ways off of it to stand up. People are supposed to clear snow off driveways and sidewalks but many do not. I do.
Be safe and well, and if out for a stroll, stay vertical.

I forgot to mention that following yesterdays walk the majority decamped to the local 'Spoons for coffee. We used to use the new Methodist Church which had a revamp a few years ago and had a Café which sold excellent coffee and home made cake. Unfortunately following Covid it opened with much reduced opening times. I was patiently waiting in line to be served when I saw they had an offer on beer, with Ruddles being 99p a pint, coffee was £1:20 or thereabouts. I pointed this discrepancy out to Mrs T and we decided on beer. I purchased one pint of Ruddles, one pint of Fuggle de Dum and one pint of Exmoor Beast ( 6.66% ) . I had a couple of the 50p CAMRA discount tokens in my wallet so I handed them over and was happy to pay £4.50 for the round 🍺🍺🍺 😁

Afternoon all . Had a busy day for me . In Warwick for 10am for a haircut, then a nice brunch in a posh coffee shop . Spend the afternoon sorting out our new club boat (a laser ), I managed find somewhere out of the wind and in the sun to work on it and it was surprisingly warm . 😀
