Friend popped round with a Bird Box which is now installed in the back garden with a wildlife camera trained on it. We've not been successful on previous occasions so fingers crossed that this one attracts visitors.

Similar here. We have bird boxes in garden for several years, with no birds taking up residence.

Son-in-law, who lives on a fairly busy road, has a single bird box, occupied every year, by blue tits!

Rather irritating!

I think it may be to do with the orientation of the box, I have relocated ours, so that the entrance faces approximately North.

Too early to say for sure that it has worked, but, I have noticed we have had birds (blue tits again), "investigating", which has not happened in previous years, fingers crossed we get residents this spring.

Yes, the friend who dropped the bird box around has a garden full of birds. She's just a natural. everything that she grows thrives, and her garden attracts slow worms, field mice and many other creatures.

I mentioned earlier that I was about to order 7 home delivered meals for 20 quid (introductory offer).
Tried to change one of the meals (fish pie) but no, that is the deal. So, anyway, I went with that. The rest look fine.

I had a look at them in my area, although I'm a good cook and enjoy cooking, I thought it would be a saving in gas/electric and shopping, but it worked out more expensive, but bloody great if you can't get out or can't be bothered to cook for yourself.

The auntie, who is 97, has one every day. The carer that comes at lunchtime just bungs one in the microwave.
She says she loves them.

Geeez, I'm bored. I want to be outside doing stuff but it's either too wet or too bloody cold. 😡

We had a bird box one of the kids made at school. Nothing for perhaps 25 years then a few years ago a colony of tree bees set up home there. I got very attached to my bees, it was great having them around. They left me though and have not returned. 😪

When is spring due? 😄

A mate of mine keeps bees and is quite knowledgeable about them. If you give the local bee people a ring they might drop off a colony that’s established itself where people don’t want them.

Stour outside Wimborne is quite high. The flood plain is flooded. They’re building houses on the floodplain on the other side of Wimborne.

A golden oldie from my Facebook memories this morning.

A frustrated wife buys a pair of crotchless panties in an attempt to spice up her dead sex life. She puts them on, together with a short skirt, and sits on the sofa opposite her husband.
At strategic moments she uncrosses her legs...
Enough times that her husband finally asks, "Are you wearing crotchless panties?"
"Y-e-s," she answers with a seductive smile.
"Thank f*** for that. I thought you were sitting on the cat."

Dave thanks for the tremendous laugh ! great joke
