Good morning folks,
A pleasant trip to Blandford parkrun yesterday followed by coffee and toasted tea cake at Sturminster Newton golf club. I had Marmite on my tea cake ❤️ an interesting contrast of sweet and savoury. Over the heath this morning as Mrs tenkaykev is following a training plan and will be running about six miles.

Morning all :hello:

Excellent lunch yesterday and nice to meet up with all our mates.
Today's not looking too bad, might do some gardening. Got to lubricate the shaft on my multi tool, which hasn't been used for a while, before I set about MrsD's bush later.

Come on Drago....surely todays winner🙂.

Going back to my previous post, as retirees, what daily exercise do you do?
We know that Mo and Drago are keep fit fanatics but what about the rest of you?

I feel better in myself when I'm more active. I can see where @PaulSB is coming from when he says he doesn't want to enter events, but I've found that by entering an event ( Bluebell 10k when we're in Scotland in May ) and following a training plan, I'm getting out more than I would had I not had that incentive. Sometimes I find that being retired and having far more time to do stuff, I tend to put things off, " Oh, I'll go for a run tomorrow, I'm feeling a bit tired " sort of thing.
Regarding overall fitness, I realised that while at my peak I had exceptional endurance, I wasn't really " Fit " in the true sense. I had poor flexibility and some muscle groups were very weak. I'm trying to do more general activities such as Pilates and a few light hand weights in a bid to gain more general fitness

Barnet,
Good morning all.
It looks like being a half decent day weather wise.
I'm just watching MOTD, then I'll be out with the dog.
I might get the old Falcon out for a ride later on.
My bet on the National came in yesterday, The Big Dog came in 5th, so I have a few quid to come back.
Enjoy your day everyone.
