I remember kids playing with something similar when I was at school. I think we called them Clackers though.

Anyway - in other news - we came back from the freezing North on Friday
I am still in bed contemplating getting up.
I worked in a TV repair shop in the early 1970's, the old TV's with the CRT picture tubes weighed a ton, especially the ones still using a valve chassis, most of those put out that much heat you could turn the fire down a couple of notches.
Good morning all.
It looks like being a half decent day weather wise.
I'm just watching MOTD, then I'll be out with the dog.
I might get the old Falcon out for a ride later on.
My bet on the National came in yesterday, The Big Dog came in 5th, so I have a few quid to come back.
Enjoy your day everyone.
One of our first tv's was from Radio Rentals and we were constantly loading it into the car and driving into Perth to have it repaired. They seemed to break down a lot more back then. No doubt all the valves, etc.
I remember there was always one person in the family who knew just where and how to hit it so it came back on
it was me in our family!
