That's pretty good going. Household chores completed by 11.30.........I'm off to the bike shop. When I return I'll make flapjack and tonight's tea........two of life's essentials!
I was hoping it would be cooler today, but no chance. Currently 24 deg outside.

I've just wandered slowly round to the supermarket and back and that was enough for me. I am really not coping with it at all. I saw a couple on bikes but I just don't fancy cycling in this. I have a feeling it will be yet another afternoon just sitting quietly trying to keep as cool as I can manage. It feels dreadful to waste such glorious weather, but I would just be miserable forcing myself to go out and do stuff.
Next week is forecast more showers, but also more humid which is just as bad![]()

Scorchio again. Not a breath of air. I have been busy. Housework needs doing so I've cracked on with all the quiet stuff and now a short coffee break. About 8.45 it will be noisy stuff as I need Mrs P out of bed so I can strip it and change the sheets.
Hell of a ride yesterday. 78 miles, 15 avg, 40 miles homeward into a heavy, warm headwind, drank 4.5 litres and didn't need a pee once!! Very unusual for men of my age. Talk about dehydration! It reminded me of my last French tour on day one I hit similar conditions and had to stop and lay in the shade for an hour - I got hydration and salts utterly wrong that day. Yesterday was a good lesson for my buddy who has a major cycling event in France soon.

This may well get removed but I couldn’t stop laughing. Angela Raynor has just described Borls Johnson a pound land Trump
Not sure if she means that fellow in the USA or the exhaust gas that exits the outlet situated just below the waistline 💨💨💨
Remember, it's shade temperature they give in the forecasts.Allegedly 15 deg here, but I cba guarantee it's a lot hotter than that. More like 30 to 32 I should think.
What is a "self love" sale?
