Morning all, a sunny start to the day here.
MrsP is off to an animal safari park in Kent for a couple of days, so it will be just me, the dog and the cats for a few days.

Morning. I was up very early so headed out on the bike up to Lochearnhead and back.....37.5 miles. There were a few black clouds lurking but I managed to avoid them apart from feeling a little spit at one point.

As usual my neck and lower back are slightly sore so I will have a nice soak in the bath then have breakfast.

I won't bother watching all the cycling but might stick it on for the final stages. I then have athletics at 5 and Van Der Valk at 8 so a decent evening's telly for me

I normally just watch the highlights.

Good morning from a bright and VERY breezy Lancashire, blowing a gale so I'm pleased we rode yesterday. Not really sure what I'm up to today. Probably a lot of little bits and pieces, I do need to look at household insurance renewal as the quote arrived a few days ago and I haven't opened it yet.

A good start for the new club ride yesterday. Only five but everyone enjoyed themselves and the pace etc. should prove a good advert to those watching and wondering. We rode 50 miles, 3 hours 40 minutes with an average of 15.4 and moving pace of 16-18 most of the time. Only 25 minutes in the cafe for coffee and scone meaning we got home in just over 4 hours. Very much what I hoped to achieve. The most pleasing aspect was one rider chose to drop off after 3-4 miles saying it was too pacey for him and he felt he had bitten off more than he could chew. I was disappointed as a part of this was to stretch people a little. Around mile 15 he suddenly reappeared having chased us, I had slightly deviated from the route which added a slower mile on a cycle path while he took the faster road route. He then stayed with us for the rest of the ride and put in a couple of good shifts on the front. I congratulated him on this, I feel confidence was built.
