Going back 20+ years it was our 'go to' place when working away. Decent pint and good value food.
Not been in for many years though.
You can still get a good pint of ale at a cheap price, £2.57, and a good selection in my local Wetherspoons.
The food on the other hand depends on how diligent the kitchen team are on the microwave and the deep fat fryer.
The portions have got a lot smaller I have noticed, so they are cutting the size of the portion instead of having to raise the price.
I admit that I don't normally eat in Wetherspoons, the all day brunch, with extra black pudding being the exception.
