I recently bought a mini chainsaw I use it to cut the thicker stems in the confer hedge that the normal hedge trimmer can’t cut.

It's not the weight/size of the chainsaw that I have a problem with at the moment - it's the limited movement in my shoulder that's painful when I stretch and rotate.
I doubt a mini saw would be much use in taking 6 ft off the top of this hedge...
( this is after it's been trimmed today btw)

Are you allowed to say workman these days, should it be work person, worker, or non binary gender free non leisure activitier?
I had to fill a form in at the hospital and some of the questions surprised me ie
M or F
then
What gender
Then....what nationality. It then listed about 10 options including Chinese.
It seems that White, Male is no longer sufficient.

Right - busy day

did plan on a ride but it was raining so I didn;t
Instead I gathered up my courage and locked by trepidation away in a dark cupboard and decided to try and fix the leaky tap in the kitchen

To be clear - I never touch mains water and I try to avoid mains electric unless I am certain I know what I am doing and there are 3 clear wires and nothing else!
But mains water just scares me because if I get it wrong then it is going to go very wrong very quickly

anyway - I had a go

it is a mixer tap with a swan neck - so decided to turn the hot water off and see if that stops it - then tried the cold
neither of which helped - turns out the cutoff taps under the sink and temperamental and need to be exactly right or they don't work

and as it is a swan neck you need to leave it for 10 minutes after fiddling to see if the leak has stopped - as the water has to fill the neck before anything happens

anyway - finally worked out that I needed to find a minute hex bolt which removes the handle and then you need a spanner to get the cartridge out
- I didn;t even know a cartridge was a thing!!!
anyway - nut wouldn;t turn!
and as it is attached to a sink that is made out of stainless steel 1 angstrom thick - I was worried
fiddled a bit and had a cuppa
fiddled some more and had another
finally it gave way - just as I was expected a crack -
anyway - after some time I had dismantled both taps and given them a clean
then put the whole thing back together without any floods and with no drips

SWMBO hasn;t mentioned words such as Hero, amazing and Wonderful - but I'm sure she is thinking them!!!

It really cheeses me off having to fill these forms. They presumably have your name, DoB, NHI No, NHS No., from your referral, can’t they find all the other stuff from their databases?, I think Amazon could teach them a thing or two.

The NHS paid out 65 million on forms and most are not even read

The Fibre people finally showed up today to finish the install of FTTP. 2 vans and four people were involved. When they saw that the only work remaining to be done was to run the fibre cable about 10 metres and connect to the box they installed a few weeks ago they asked " why didn't the original installation team finish the job? " I said it was possibly because it was raining heavily at the time, it was late Friday afternoon and the pubs would have been open "
Anyway, alls well that ends well. My exisiting network is still up and running as I haven't cancelled yet, so I'll leave both running in case of any glitches.

No your correct . For normal hedge trimming I use my electric hedge trimmer. My problem has been with thicker stems tat are too thick for the hedge trimmer.I had too use loppers our a hand saw which takes time. The mini chainsaw is ideal for these situations and flicker stemmed shrubs.
Hope your shoulder soon improves

Is that a case of getting the "H" out of there?

If a doctor goes to doctor a doctor, do they doctor the doctor they're doctoring the way they've always doctored. Or, does the doctor duing the doctoring doctor the doctor they way they've always doctored?

If they doctor the doctor they're doctoring in a way that the doctor they're doctoring doesn't like, can they be done for malpractice?

Morning all.
It's going to be a grey and cloudy day.
A few of today's highlights.
Sainsbury's are delivering between 9 and 10.
I'll be out on the bike later running a few errands and picking up a few bits from the local shops.
Today's tea will be a freezer surprise. There are some boxes of meals I have cooked, but can't remember what they are.
