Terrible nights sleep last night work up at 01:00 and still awake at 05:00 and in that time I had breakfast and made a loaf.
My new electric blanket arrived and now in the bed and works OK.
Went out for a short drive as not been out for a while now, may go for a walk later.

Afternoon folks :okay: had a chilly ride today, it was that kinda damp cold which gets into your bones....brrr Was wearing 2 base layers, a merino jumper and 2 pairs of socks but was still getting chilled. Anyhow was pleased to get within 20ft of a red kite sat on a post which took wing showing of its rufus red plumage. I do like Kites, on a windy day they seem to enjoy playing with the air currents. :okay:

Barnet,
Do me a favour (as I am contemplating home delivery)........would you let us ie me, know......the approximate size/value of the order and how many items were missing/replaced. Thanks.

Today's order was £68. A couple of items were substituted, a bottle of Malbec for a different Malbec, and a loaf of seeded wholemeal bread for a pumpkin seeded loaf, which cost a total of £1.75 more, but I will receive vouchers for the difference.

That's not bad then. I have heard of some awful substitutions like fish fingers instead of cod fillets etc.

Any substitute items that you don't want can be handed back to the delivery driver and you will receive a refund for those items straight into your bank account.
There have been a couple of glaring differences between what was ordered and what was actually delivered. But in general everything is normally ok.

Which is fine but if eg you planned sausages for tea and they don't turn up its surely a pain.

True - but if you go to the shop and they don;t have any then you are in the same boat I suppose

main problem I used to have in the past was short sell by dates so if you had ordered a few then some would inevitably expire before you could use them
Happened once with cucumbers - but I just rang Customer Services and they refunded them all with no fuss!

Around here they have a special warehouse, for home deliveries only, just down the road
so people say that things are far better than they used to be
