Morning folks :okay: Put on my army surplus arctic hat yesterday brrr walked home into horizontal driving snow which turned me into a snowman  I worry about pipes bursting as i cant afford to crank the heat around the dial but council houses seem well insulated on the pipework...fingers crossed. :okay:

Funnily, talking about that. I have opened my loft hatch as the cold water tank and pipes are up in the roof space and it's baltic up there as it's well insulated. Don't want burst tank or pipes! It doesn't affect the heat much if anything anyway as the loft hatch is in a walk in cupboard in the hall. The hot water tank is in the cupboard so hopefully a little warm air will get up.

Last year i opened the loft hatch with the idea that rising warm air could prevent any burst...but then realised the vents in the loft would let it any warm air straight out  i keep taps dripping overnight which might help. :okay:

One of my grandchildren phoned and wanted to see a Dr. 6 hours later he received a call from the Dr who said he was working from home. WHAT?

Not seen my Doctor for years then out of the blue (maybe 12 months ago) she turned up at the door wanting to give me flue and covid injection......nothing to do with getting paid 15 quid per injection of course. Money grabbing barstewards.
It took her 3 years to believe in long covid and finally, after numerous scans and tests she went along with the hospital results.....then charged me 15 quid to put it in writing.

I daresay its fantastic, however I doubt its good enough to diagnose an illness or Infection over the phone.

I remember listening to an episode of " More or Less " during the pandemic. It was comparing remote diagnoses of various conditions vs " hands on ". I can't remember the exact results but iirc the remote diagnoses of routine conditions were remarkably accurate. I will see if I can find the episode again.

Coincidentally I was reading an article discussing how long Covid had influenced the medical profession into looking again at correlations other viral infections such as MS being Long Epstein-Barr Shingles being Long Chickenpox, and the history of M. E. being regarded by some in the profession as possibly psychological in origin.
