Good Morning, I've been around but early and not ready to pop in here and then found myself heading out all week. Busy week so far. It's dull and grey here with a possible sunny afternoon. The house smells like a disused fish factory......................we've just had a new cooker installed and have to run the oven and grill at full temperature to burn off the protective coatings. This has proved one thing, I haven't lost my sense of smell. This is important as I got a phone call 30 minutes ago to say #2 son has tested positive. I'm not surprised and I had a lot of close contact with him on Tuesday evening. I have a sniffle but no LFT kits in the house. Trip to the chemist next. This is a real PIA as I have a lot of social stuff on this weekend.

What news this week? Ridden 180 miles since Sunday which I'm very pleased with as it's the first time we've been able to get regular rides in this year. Rubbish weather to blame for that. Allotment work is going well and I plan to do more this afternoon. Next task is hang the washing out, go the chemist and then home for the housework.

My team lost on Tuesday night. Yes, I'll mention the footie. Disappointed to lose to Burnley at home to see them crowned Champions BUT Rovers were fantastic, played them off the park, we simply couldn't score. Bugger! I left feeling very proud of my team and feel if we get a striker for next season we will be in a very good position. Onwards and upwards.

Tested negative which is a bugger really. I feel fine but if I'm going to be positive I'd like to get it out the way ASAP.

I didn’t even know people were still testing. I presume you have to pay for the kits?

There's no requirement to test but I view it as a social responsibility. I sat with my son next to me for six hours on Tuesday, he had a very bad cough, we had a 30 minute cuddle watching TV. We spent 90 minutes in the car together. He's positive so there's a high possibility I will be.

Tonight I was due to meet a friend and work side by side on his laptop, Friday in a quiz team, Saturday manning the bar, Saturday or Sunday Club Ride and sat in a cafe, Sunday evening theatre trip, Monday night football, Tuesday is granddaughter day. All of this with family and friends, four of whom are clinically vulnerable with suppressed immune systems.

For me, and this is very much a personal view, I think it would be highly irresponsible not to test and also to make a decision about each individual activity.

Tests are £2.50 each. I suspect I'm very much in the minority.

I suspect so now.

Still drizzling here.

I’ve had scrambled egg on toast for lunch. Might just read this afternoon.

Builders still here but I think we can see the end now - except in the bathroom that they have not started yet

We were planning out going away for a few days next week to get SWMBO out of the dust so she can breathe but we have several things that we have to do so it isn;t practical

But I have just come up with a problem that we had not considered.
We will have to travel to Cornwall some time towards the end of next week to take over the Omaze house that we are due to win
Not sure how we are going to fit that in!
