A quick update on MrsD.
A few days ago "They" took her off all life support eg vitamin drips etc.
A top neurologist from Liverpool visited and overruled that. He has put her on a different vitamin drip plus saline. She is responding a bit. Can't talk but we think she can hear.
My head is spinning with different emotions.

I had 44 years of contributions, but because of working on the railway, along with other public sector staff we were contracted out, we paid slightly lower NI, so we don't get the full state pension. I have done the maths and for the amount I would have pay it's not really worth it.

I'm sure you've check carefully but I don't think being contracted out has an impact on the standard state pension. It does influence Additional State Pension (SERPS).

Good morning. It's a lovely morning but we're forecast for heavy rain around 4.00pm. Everyone sitting around drinking coffee discussing babies and houses, #1 son and partner are clearly very excited. Wonderful.

Mrs P is out this afternoon......I intend to sneak a couple of hours serious bike cleaning done. Full degrease, wash, polish etc.

I see in the news that the UK came second from last in that singing corrupt thing.

I have no idea why we keep putting in millions of pounds every year when we have no chance of winning. The winner is picked out long before the singing thing takes place. It's a total waste of money. It's about time we told them to go forth and multiply.

Well, last night I 'lost' this mobile. I was tired. I recalled putting it in my pocket but that was it.
This morning I checked " everywhere" .....which included rubbish bins, fridge and freezer.
I dialled it from the land line but a stupid recorded message told me "I was unavailable" and me shouting "yes I bloody am you silly cow"!!!
So, where did I eventually find it? Under the bed of course were I always keep it🙂.
No idea how it got there, I can only hazard a guess.
Makes sense if you think about it, more than any of the other places you checked.
Phone in pocket, fell out, landing on the floor. A quick, but unintended, touch with your foot sent it under the bed.

Why you'd put it in the fridge freezer I don't know. It won't keep any better in either.
