Correction: I have just paid the car park and it was 19.50 pounds.
The hotel itself only has 10 parking spaces so we have to use the expensive car park adjacent to it . Robbing b*****ds.!!

Jeez, that's expensive. Sadly all parking charges seem to have shot up, especially if you are looking for long term rather than just a quick hour to shop.

£25 for 6 hours near Old Trafford next week.

Booked via one of those Apps (Your Parking Space) that facilitate parking on homeowner's drives etc.

The one booked looks like a nice house with gated drive, security lights and CCTV.

10 minutes from the ground but, crucially, it avoids the major hassles of getting out of the 'normal' car parks that are nearer the ground.

It also is very close to the M'way interchange that gets us back to the sanity of The Lakes.

Expensive but worth it for us.

However, we do have a right old moan about the National Trust etc car park prices where we live.

Bonjour from Newcastle where the weather is good......,......... so far.
Full English breakfast shortly and then off to the Beamish museum, only 7 miles away. Overnight car park at the hotel is 17 pounds and we are staying for 2 nights.

If you are staying actually in Newcastle, be sure to have a stroll down by the Quayside, and the Millennium Bridge. Plenty of bars etc, to get rid of even more of your money ;)
