I will Dave. Difficult as when I prattle on about our life....way back to 1966 its me that ends up blubbing. But I know she would do that and more for me.

Thats why I have not been on here much as I know I sound depressing.
APART FROM MY BREAD WHICH IS LOOKING VERY NICE šŸ˜€

That is sound advice from Dave r When I worked on a Neurology ward we would always talk to patients who were in an unconscious state. Describing what we were going to do just as we would with a conscious patient
Never think you sound depressing. As I have said before the contributors to this thread I see as friends I will probably never meet.
Not easy but stay strong If you feel posting on here here helps carry on.

Caught the train from Doniford to Minehead, meeting up with mates in Watchet.
Grabbed a pasty for lunch in Minehead and ate it in Blenheim Park.
Tried several ciders at the cider festival at Minehead station and came home with a gallon of Watchet Cider Co 'Quay' still cider - very nice!

Don't worry about speed, I'm not.

Just got back from a ride out to Kentmere church.

21.3 miles, 1036' climbing @11.3 mph.

I used to do around 14.5 mph for this route. Cest la vie. Fitness will return, only my 3rd ride after nearly 18 months off the bike. Tbh I'm not much fussed - getting out is the main thing as ever.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt today!

The church plus trusty steed:

Its not going to happen any time soon but I need to shift about a stone and a half then do some turbo sessions and build my mileage up again, try and get back to riding 50-60 milers regularly, my average this morning was 11.6 mph. It looks like my off this morning was rider error, I've checked the transmission and it has a little wear in it but otherwise its in good nick, it looks like I've got a little bruising on my left knee and thats it apart from getting stung on the wrist, it looks like I disturbed an insect and it wasn't impressed.

I’m trying hard to lose a bit of weight too, but it’s loathe to shift. Very slow progress so far but I’m determined so hopefully get there at some point. It’s certainly not lack of exercise. I must still be eating slightly too much.

Think I’ll just have a sandwich for tea as the house is so warm. I don’t fancy anything hot.

For the last two days I have been 79.7kg this is down from 85kg, due to the diabetes and what I'm allowed to eat I find it quite easy, but meal times are very boring, but with the walking if I can keep the blood sugar down I maybe able to eat normally again.

Several people/nurses have said that. Difficult to believe when there is zero reaction but lots of people do say it.

There is some anecdotal evidence for this A colleague was telling about a incident a nurse attending to a patient who had been unconscious made a comment about the patient which was not complimentary When the patient eventually regained consciousness two days later she challenged the nurse about her comment The ward sister made sure from then her staff spoke to her patients when treating them

Dave, I've been reluctant to comment on this but have decided I should. With my brain haemorrhage and surgery I had 8-10 days of being either unconscious or heavily sedated.

There are things people said to me in those few days that I vividly recall. Please do talk to Mrs D, people do hear.

@Dave7 just to echo everyone else. Post whatever you want, whenever you wish. We're all here to support you if we can.
Do you think I could get him to post some toast, to me?

Morning all . I should be happy this morning, it’s a sailing day šŸ˜€ but we are stuck in a north east wind patten for weeks which means for us the wind be coming offf some hills , hits some trees and goes in every direction which doesn’t make sailing very unpleasant. Of well the wine and the chat/banter will be good šŸ‘.
At least the sun is forecast to shine too,

Have a great day everyone .
