A beautiful bright and breezy day, it was supposed to rain so yesterday I dried the sheets in the tumble dryer. I'm going to bill the Met Office. Today is a day of bits and pieces, a bit of this, a bit of that, nothing too exciting.

It's still spitting here. My waterbutt is nice and full. 210 ltrs. Not bad for a couple of hours of rain.

You might be surprised. The rainfall that we have had over the last couple if years has been a lot less than in the past.

Plus, our water mains and meter is about a quarter of a mile away. If every there is a leak, the cost of trying to have it fixed because the pipe goes over common land and all round the place would be horrendous and we couldn't afford it. So at least we would have a water supply.

We would have to buy water to drink, but everything else would come from the tanks

I crashed out for 90 minutes but (I think) I am awake now.

Recycle bin has been emptied. Quite pleased as it had various types of plastic hidden in it. They have refused to empty it before because they didn't like the 'type' of plastic I had put in.

It’s getting more and more complicated. We are supposed to be getting another bin soon to further divide it. People are getting seriously pissed off with it, especially if they are short of space trying to store 4 bins. I can see me just lobbing more and more in general waste as I can’t be bothered with it. They are needing to tackle big industry and aviation, etc before bothering with this.

They want us sorting them by material and colour, with seperate containers for each colour. Clear glass only in the clear glass container, that type of thing. Same with plastics.

Bright and sunny here. One of my twin grandsons popped In for half an hour. He and his twin are going shooting at Dovey valley shooting grounds

Got all my washing done and dried.
