Good afternoon all
I've been out since 08.00 and my mobile didn't charge overnight.
We went to St. Albans with the dog for a long walk and then MrsP need to look at the shops for a pair of shoes to go with the dress she has for our daughters wedding later this year. I had a couple of pints of Titanic plum porter in the Boot, quite a famous pub, whilst MrsP was in the shops.
Just got back. A pot of tea and toasted teacakes with blackcurrant jam for an afternoon snack has been consumed.

Made the mistake of walking the dog near the site office, oh good says the farmers wife, you've saved me a stamp, and presents me with the next yearly bill for rent and rates 🙄 can't complain though only a 3% increase from last year.

Hi follks, its gone from arctic to mild Missed an opportunity today..i walked the beach and looked for fossils in the rocky area. I found a large rock which had a few regular curved lines just a couple of inches long on it, thinking there might be something within i dropped it....breaking into 6 pieces or so all revealing a large ammonite. Trouble was the dropping had broken it every which way, if i had split it with hammer and chisel it might have made a nice specimen about 10 inches across.
Finished making my diy toe straps they look fine and do the job

Afternoon all. Had a nice surprise this morning . Was making a cup of tea for Mrs exlaser at 8 o’clock this morning and there was knock on the door . It’s a courier with long thin parcel, I was a bit non plused at first . Then I realised it’s was my Christmas present ( a new sail ) that wasn’t supposed to arrive until next week 😀. The only down side is there is now a picture of me in my pyjamas accepting a parcel . 😂

Don’t think I will be using it tomorrow. The met office is forecasting wind speeds of 22 gusting 40 . That’s a bit too much for me 😃

Mmmm...windspeed......could be troublesome.
Heading to London tomorrow to see the kids, before we are due to head on to the Isle of Wight for a couple of weeks.
Booked on the last 9pm ferry.....forecast is winds in the range 55-65mph - a very strong possibility that will get cancelled 🌬️

We will take sleeping bags to crash on one of their sofabeds.....& call Red Funnel around 5pm with fingers crossed to check the chances..... I suspect "close to zero" is the answer to that 👀

Good morning all. 1st up and about today.
It's quite windy outside and the rain woke me up at some point during the night.
The cats have rushed out, no doubt a bit happier that the temperature has risen by quite a few degrees. It is 7⁰C which is quite a change from yesterday's -5⁰.

Morning. It was heavy rain last night so back to mud and puddles for a walk I think. Better get out though as it looks dreadful later with heavy rain and storm whatever it’s called hitting.

I've just been outside to get some rainwater from one of the waterbuts for Aurdey. She is growing a second long stem so she is going to have even more 💐

It's quite warm out there and the wind has dropped as well.

Estate agent popped round yesterday to look at the small piece of land we are thinking of selling. His figure was spot on with my own estimate - 10K, or up to 15K if we can get the householder that butts up to it interested. ( it would allow him to extend sideways by about 4 mtrs).
Agent said we would need to get an overage clause in any contract.
Interesting situation - we'll see what happens.
