Morning. Tossed and turned most of the night. I never sleep well when I don’t get outside for fresh air.

We have a few hours dry this morning before the next wind and heavy rain arrives mid morning so I will head out soon for a walk.

I caught up on Call the Midwife last night then watched another couple of episodes of Hope Street.

Up early today.
Have to go to my brothers funeral this morning in Evesham.
Will be setting out around 7am, up the M5 for the 2 1/2hour drive.
Dropping in on our mates near Cheddar on the way back.

Cooooeeeee. 7 deg and wet here but at least the winds have died down.

Not much planned for today. I have to renew my car insurance, then I have to phone the land registry office. Apparently some company has shown an interest in my house for some reason. Some fancy place in London. I registered for property alerts 4 of 5 years ago and this is the first time this has happened. So first I will phone the land registry office, then I might contact the interested party to find out what they want. I may or may not be very nice depending on the answers the give me

Maybe just browsing the area for house prices? I didn't even realise you could have a look until you mentioned it. I can see when the houses around me sold and prices they went for, etc.

Sainsbury's have just delivered the weekly goodies.
Today I am off to meet up with the Codgers group of retired train drivers. Today is ten pin bowling and lunch at the Stevenage Hollywood bowl.
More rain is forecast for today, so I'll be glad to be indoors

I have alerts set too and usually get an annuls email saying nobody's looked at our humble dwelling.
From time to time I browse the Council website for local planning applications, just in case someone wants to convert one of the now empty bank premises into a pub 🍺🤞😁

Yes. I get emails saying no on has looked at my property as well. This is the first time it's happened.

School Magazine dated Dec 1961.

Forgot that I had this (and 2 others).
Browsing it I discovered an article I contributed, about my then hobby of coin collecting.
I wonder if kids still do that ?

Rain has arrived and it's very gloomy out. Just the wind to pick up later. Joy!

Hopped on the treadmill and did stage 5 of the Tour de Zwift. I trailed in second last of the small group doing it, but a completion is a completion and I just wanted to take it reasonably easy. Might do the cycling part if the legs feel up to it this afternoon.

I have been a busy bunny. Booked my car in for its service and MOT which is due on 21st Feb. They will collect her on 14th Feb.

Renewed my car insurance with Zenith.

And I called the fraud line of the land registry. The only info at the ready was that the company requesting the info was interested in a project application. The very nice lady said she can contact another department for more info and when she has that she will contact me again. I must say I am very impressed with this service. I would recommend it to anyone..so watch this space as they say.
