Apparently naff all chance of rain here until Friday

still have cold but have managed to mow the back lawn and stick the garden fork into the bare patches of lawn in most places
which also involves bending the tines back where the should be

no way I have the energy for a ride - even on the ebike!

might have managed it on the old one that had a throttle - pre-2016 so slower but throttle were allowed

5 bed mansion with 4 bathrooms on the other side of toon, about £600 a year for the three of us on a meter.

Anglian Water do seem a touch pricy, but they're one or the better behaved firms, although that's not saying much, and one of the least likely to give into hosepipe bans.

Well it has happened

The house next door but one was For Sale
not sure why - don't really know the people - but a car has disappeared and one of the other 2 never moves

anyway - it was For Sale for ages and we never saw any activity
sign came down
driveway was cleaned up professionally
new sign went up
but it didn;t appear on the Estate Agent's website or RIghtmove etc etc
and that was over a week ago


Well I just checked and it has appeared
price has dropped a bit
and much better photos including drone shots showing that we live in the middle of the country with open fields all round
which is damn clever as the front goes to a urban park and the back goes to a closed golf course known to be contaminated with arsnic

but our garden looks damn good!!!

Just discovered my first sergeant from when I transferred to Northants lives over the road. Nice bloke, absolutely deadly in a fight - seen him drop a 6'8" rugbyist with great ease one Saturday night at work.

He's the one that taught me the art of the R.I.N.

One of my ex colleagues does art work. This is one she’s just done of her own dog. I think she’s one of the most talented local artists I’ve seen. You feel like you could actually stroke the dog the way she has captured the texture.

Good morning. Once again no sign of rain but we are forecast for heavy rain on Saturday and Monday. 🤞🤞

Mr Springsteen was truly excellent on Tuesday night. The new Coop Live venue is outstanding. By far the best concert venue I've been to.

Yesterday was busy, busy, busy finishing with me on overnight childminding duty for #2SP. She's currently sleeping fitfully beside me. How does a very small person occupy all of a queen size bed?? A mystery to me. If I share a queen size with Mrs P I have to send out a search party to find her!!! SP woke at 4.30, took a bottle in one go, lay down and started snoring. She has a cough.

After taking SP to nursery I'm meeting a friend for coffee. Said friend wants a face to face chat about something. I've no idea what.
