I too have a question. My smart watch is dieing, it's 9 years old so I guess I've had my monies worth. The main issue is connecting with Garmin and only the centre of the touch screen works. I've decided to get a new one. My needs are very simple:

GPS enabled sufficient to track a bike ride - I rarely use this feature but like it as back up should my Wahoo fail
Again GPS enabled to record a walk, distance, route, time elapsed, pace, HR max and avg. I use this feature
Able to record a physical activity such as my morning exercise routines. This only needs to be time, HR max, HR avg and calories, far from essential.

I know there are many watches that will sing, dance and take me out to dinner. What I really want is something value for money and covering these basics.

Garmin vivoactive 5, I have the 3, but the battery is not good for very long walks/rides, so it's a new battery or and upgrade to the 5

Ride ridden. Almost chilly at times as a cool N wind but nice to be out. Shame change in weather on way, the bone dry roads have been a delight.

It’ll be a shock to the system, but I suppose we shouldn’t complain. We have had a solid 5 weeks or so dry. As long as we don’t get 5 weeks of constant rain now!

Just come back from a ride

wimped out of the full normal loop and cut it a few miles short as I wasn;t feeling too good

but made it and I feel better for it

I did notice far more e-motorbike people around
the ones that never pedal and wear black and a black cloth across their face

none caused any problems
but they can be worrying
why do they need to have their face covered in this weather??

Maybe because they know they’re illegal and don’t want recognised?
