I'm hoping the 09:27 X7 is 3 minutes late (it usually is!) so I can use my bus pass to get to my swim this morning.

Morning.
Wet and breezy. Due to brighten later so decision to make on putting washing on. I'm one of those people who winter or summer the washing goes outdoors and is only hung in utility room as a last measure. No tumble drier here.
Eldest back from Uni and then holiday this weekend and bringing friends with her so a good opporunity to give the house a once over today.

Morning all :hello:

Off to Minehead to look at a car this morning.

If you don’t mind me asking…

You’re at the end of life with a Honda (reliable) that you think is the best car you’ve ever had, and you’re considering a Freelander? 🤔

The Honda is generally reliable but, like all cars, it has its weak points; front suspension linkages and drive shafts being common problems. Mine has had these done (twice!).
I'm looking at the Freelander 2, which by all accounts is the best model they ever made. The one I'm looking at is low mileage with full service history and an excellent MOT history.
It will be used as a second car and won't do much mileage a year; mainly towing.
I wouldn't touch a Freelander 1 with a barge pole.

Barnet,
Morning again. 7.5 mile walk done. First couple of miles it drizzled then faired up but came on again quite heavy for the final mile. I just had a t shirt on so got a bit damp but it is too warm for a jacket anyway.

Had the rest of my pack of bacon with scrambled eggs for breakfast.

I also had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast.

Well weather looks better than the forecast

not a lot on today but I am going back to a couple that Age Concern referred to me to try to fix their email account

It is with Yahoo - which I have not come across for man y many years

anyway - The bloke that first looked at it failed
He asked for help and I went back with him and we got a bit further but basically also failed

I have had a bit of luck at home on something similar - after several days trying - so I am going back this afternoon

probably won;t actually work but i hate giving up on things!

after that I might go for a ride - the weather looks to be OK then and the wind has dropped

Purely out of interest, what do you mean by "low mileage"?
I know that low mileage for diesel is different to low mileage petrol but beyond that it gets hazy for me.

Years ago 12,000 was average for one year, but now I think it will be down to 10,000 or less now with the price of fuel
Just googled
Generally, 12,000-15,000 miles per year is considered average
