That is just because you are expecting the radiation cloud to not reach the back of beyond until you have a chance to hide in a cavern
or something
I am more worried about flooding or some industrial fire on one of the local industral estates

Anyone see the eclipse? It was cloudy here at 7.30 but had cleared sufficiently by 8.15 for us to see the moon half eclipsed and clearing.

A nice sunny start to the day here.
The first of the bin lorries has just come down our road. The second one won't be far behind.
MrsP wants to go to a Dahlia festival at a garden centre later, it might involve lunch somewhere.
