Maroon and VERY well used 😊
And, yes, it would have been 1963, maybe early 1964. I am of 1947 vintage
Yes, Feb '47 for me.
Memories ehh.
Think my bike cost me £15. It was a wreck and unfortunately I'm clueless when it comes to anything mechanical. I got no help from my Dad. In short me and an old bike had no chance and the whole episode died.
Strange but I still recall the reg as starting OUN.
Good morning. A light grey sun and warm for the time of year. This will do for our Nice friends who like to escape the heat. They have 25⁰+ at this time of year.
They were allowed in.........just. I kid you not. Going through passport control in Nice they were asked for their visas. What? A visa to visit the UK? Yes, you need one. I haven't understood the detail yet as I was doing 70+ at 2.00am on the M57 at the time. I need to find out more.
The gist of the story is a visa is required. They were allowed threw passport control on the understanding they might not be allowed to enter the UK. Conversation followed with easyjet staff who explained what to do. They phoned their son - always find a young person for this stuff - who made the application online while they were in the air. Landed in Liverpool, checked, visas available and granted entry with a passport stamp.
They couldn't understand why UK passport holders had to be checked as well. That's what a lifetime of open borders gives you.
Brexit........the gift that keeps on giving.
I think we will go to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park today, near Wakefield. It's a great place, we will be outside which will help Mrs P with her flu symptoms. And we can get lunch. Lunch is very important to our French friends, they will begin to worry about it around 11.00/11.30 - there must be a plan!!!
