BBQ chicken wings and hash brown fries for lunch


Washing done and mostly dry. I just had to put it into the tumble dryer for 20 mins or so

I did myself a lunch of Mexican rice stir fried with sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes. There is some left.
I'm now sat here thinking....shall I eat what's left

Back from the Reptile survey. Quite exhausting as the various sites are well hidden and off the beaten track. Saw Slow Worms and grass snakes plus was fortunate to see one of the UK's rarest reptiles the Smooth snake which is a constrictor. Well knackered now, but definitely woth fighting my way through the brambles, gorse and hidden dips and hollows.

Gardening done, grass cut again out the back and the tyres pumped up on the car and all the fluids checked and topped up as required.
Chicken fajitas for tea tonight as they require the minimum of faff to get them ready.

Our old house was fibre to cabinet, 30 mega things. Our new gaff is fibre right to the router, 200 megatonnes. I cant tell any difference.

It might be that your in-house wifi is the bottle-neck?

A bit of research revealed our friends didn't need a visa but an Electronic Travel Authorisation ETA which the UK introduced in April 2025. The EU is introducing a similar system ETIAS in late 2026.

As reported earlier this week Mrs P has proper flu. She is much better now but has a hacking cough. A little earlier I found her making a hot toddy...........with my 15 year old malt whisky. 😲😲😲 I will be buying a more suitable hot toddy whisky tomorrow!!

Apparently the hot toddy was very good.......I'm not surprised 🤣

On Wednesday I ordered a new pair of binoculars from an on line store, very expensive binoculars. I opted for next day delivery, they should have been here today. This morning I got an email saying that there was a delay and they would be arriving on Saturday. I've just looked on the courier's website and it's now saying "Due for delivery on Monday". I'm not a happy boy. I'll try and phone the shop in the morning but don't think there's much they can do. Why are courier firms so crap.
