Can I have a rant? Please. OK, a short one. Thank you.

1¾ hours to do a 34 mile round trip. It should be 40 minutes. 22 minutes to travel 1.3 miles from my house to the motorway. I know what UU are doing so I'll forgive that. On to the M65 eastbound. Queue. Why? At junction 5, outside lane, westbound a driver "driving" (a loose term) a huge, black BMW had rammed in to the back of a small white car.

This caused a 13½ mile tail back westbound and +/- 3 miles eastbound!!! What is it with these people? Why "drive" these enormous cars so feckin' fast you can't stop?

Apologies to any of you who drive an enormous BNW. I'm sure you're very responsible and know what I mean.

Yesterday I watched a woman in a huge Merc try to reverse into a car park space. She had to give up. A few moments later another lady in an enormous Porsche took 4 corrections to get in the same space.

Why????

If it's the same one I heard about, a "medical incident", rather than speed was reported as the cause.

Meeting with the MP went well. Its a shame he'll be out of a job in three years, but that's the life he chose.

Morning. A frosty start but then it’s to get milder and turn to rain so I’d better get out for a wander first.

Travelled in a Time Machine last night.

Transported back in time, with an evening that felt like we were back in The Attik, early 1990s.
A place we frequented many times (MrsMikeIOW had her ‘hen night’ there!)….a tiny door on a little used lane in the city that led upstairs to a small bar that had the vibe of a dodgy ‘speakeasy’ 🍻

A “tribute” night to a Leicester legend that was Maurice Coleman, with some brilliant footage of his 1000th gig there, bookended by others playing and sharing stories from when they played with him 😎
All that was missing where some garlic cheesy chips 🤪

What a blast!
