Ouch. I do hope you're OK. Staying down to feel ready to get up is always a very good idea. Dysentery sounds too good for them!
Indeed.. Dysentery & stuck in the middle lane of the M25 on a Friday afternoon sounds better; nowhere near a bog.. 👍

Well I got a decent ride in after a bit of a false start. Went out this morning got 2 miles up road and rear wheel puncture. Put spare tube in and valve on that failed so when I tried to ride then got pinch flat as air didn't hold.
Got daughter to pick me up so when home I put another spare in and repaired original puncture which was a thorn or similar. Binned one tube as trashed.
Went out this afternoon and got a nice 30miles in and all good. About to order more spare tubes...
Well done for going out again.
I couldn't do it, being an 'any excuse to get out of a ride' person.
You'll get an e-mail Monday morning to say that the meeting started half an hour ago.I have had an annoying thing happen
As I have mentioned before I volunteer for AgeUK a few times a week helping older people (!) with IT things
A lot of it is installing the NHS App and helping them get used to it
Anyway - a while ago I asked if the NHS had - or could create - a dummy version, or patient, we could connect to which would show all teh facilities without any risk of sending a real message to a pharmacy or doctor
and no chance of me seeing someone else'e private health information
any road up
On Thursday - late afternoon - out little group of IT volunteers were sent a message
Apparently out local office had received a message asking if any of us wanted to attend a meeting - ON Monday!! - to talk about the current NHS strategy and whether they should push forward towards an almost totally digital interface with patients
There was something about clients - but that was very unclear about taking them along or talking to them first or what?
The message was from National Voices which is working with/part of - the NHS
Now I have made it clear to people that I find this dumb - a lot of clients I have seen are just not ready for more digital stuff - even with the NHS App
and I know my parents and my wife's mother would never have been able to use it - let alone use it properly
Now - as I was a very techy IT person for 20 years in a big company - and spent a second career as an IT teacher and since then have helped a load of people to do IT stuff I think I have a unique and very valid viewpoint
I have asked for more details of the meeting
like - what on Earth do they mean by meeting?
is it local - on line - in Timbuktu??
How many people will be there - just a couple - or 50??
what is the agenda - if any - important for a large group - less so for a couple of people having a chat
and my contacts have said they are also confused - but have asked for more information
that was yesterday
no more info
so I may be going to a meeting tomorrow - somewhere somehow
not knowing is annoying
sorry - just wanted to moan
but also - anyone else worked with National Voices in any way??
thanks - I'll stop moaning now!

Mrs D has ordered me a Geronimo's Pizza for tea as a reward for being a brave boy.
Whiplash, soft tissue injuries to my arm.
Rest, painkillers, but try and keep mobile.
They were really quick seeing me, but the Friday night winos and pith heads had long gone.
