No, I eat the beans on toast, and then eat jam out of the jar. Americans eat toast and jelly. I do things the proper British way.

Is jelly (in America) the same as jam,....or marmalade. Or what is it ?

Barnet,
Good morning all from a damp and drizzling Barnet.
Animals have been fed and medicated. Two cats out, one cat in and Millie has been out in the garden for a wee.
Bin lorry day today, I can hear the first one coming down the road now.
Fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, then all the usual stuff to do today.
Enjoy your day everyone :cuppa:

Good morning. A brief visit as I finish my coffee. Love the toast, beans, jelly, butter and marmalade ramblings 🤣🤣🤣

To be proper it's two slices of thick whole meal, buttered while hot. Place one slice in the centre of the plate, cut the other side diagonally into two triangles and place either side of the other piece. Pour the heated beans (Heinz - no, we are NOT discussing that point. Non negotiable) on to the centre. Brown sauce is optional depending on one's mood.

I'm off as I have a small child to collect. I'll update on toast later.

More or less the same.

So when they shop, for what we call jam, what does it say on the label to differentiate from marmalade i?

Good morning all.
A drizzly day here but not as cold.
I will go to the farm shop this morning (they dont open till 10.00).
I want bird food and while there will get some mushrooms and possibly tomatoes.
NB
I am not convinced that farm shops sell better fresh food SO LONG as the eg Aldi ones are UK products.
This one does its own honey (from its own bees) and eggs from its own hens but tmk everything else is brought in.
2 examples are mushrooms and white onions. Aldi are far cheaper and good quality.
Your thoughts ???

Morning.
Grey and breezy but not actually raining. No doubt it will soon.
Day of DIY yesterday and I'll be continuing today. Installed new tv in bedroom which meant sorting out wiring and aerial, drilling wall, putting up bracket and tv so everything is concealed as it's wall mounted. Today I'll be filling and painting a few holes as we no longer have a landline phone so various fixing screws to be removed and filled etc.
After that, weights.
