Good morning folks. Lurgy is in full spate so I am sitting on the sofa to avoid disturbing Mrs Tkk. Took some medication before bed , 100ml of Laphroaig and a few squares of Lindt dark chocolate 🥃.
Just been browsing to find my next bottle of medicine and saw these " tasting notes " for one particular brand
: " Powerful and unforgettable with a barrage of aromas. Tangy sea spray, bonfire smoke, salted bananas and baked apples arouse the senses. With an obviously peaty aroma, this whisky has notes of soot and smoke that are backed up by sponge pudding and candied orange. The smoke is perhaps more restrained on the palate, giving way to a wasabi spice and a meaty quality."

Good morning. Dull and damp but the forecast hopeful...............this means Paul hopes it won't rain. Nothing will stop me getting out today.

A horrid thing happened yesterday. I went to the garage to check tyre pressures ahead of a ride today. I haven't ridden the Cervelo for 2-3 months and found both valves were gummed up, when I loosened them most of the air escaped. It happens. Took the bike outside, leaned against fence, got the track pump and did the necessary. There are a lot of leaves outside my garage. I picked up the track pump only to discover I had put it down on top of a large dog turd, then I held the base in place with my foot. Cleaning up was revolting. If I ever meet that dog owner......................

Good morning all.
A damp start to the day here.
We are going over to our Son's place later this morning, if the car will start. I think it is either the solenoid, and or the starter motor. When the key is turned there is just a single click. This can happen several times and then the engine will turn over. Car is booked in on Monday at the garage, if i can get it there, or it will need to be towed.

Talking about the lurgy, my brother has been ill since Christmas..he says he feels like c**p. A neighbour of my son has also had it since Christmas and feels the same. There's a lot of it going round. Mr WD says people have to now wear masks again in the surgery
