Good morning from a grey and chilly Dorset. Late on parade today as the lurgy intensified overnight. I spent a fitfull night upright in the comfy chair in front of the hearth so as not to disturb Mrs Tkk. Made myself a Hot Toddy late yesterday evening, a friend gave me a jar of local Honey last year, it looked a bit like Lemon Curd from the outside and when I took the lid off there was a waxy layer on the top. Took quite a bit of effort to dig out a chunk with a teaspoon but it really helped sooth my throat. Anyway, determined to get out for a walk in the fresh air soon and blow the cobwebs away.

A bad cold can make you really miserable.

Must admit "tempeh" is a new one on me. I assumed it was a utensil like an airfryer but now think it must be some kind of veggie/lentil thing ???
Fermented cooked soybeans.
Got it in a block at a normal supermarket (Morrisons). I will try more with it: the taste/texture was great (obvs with other ingredients).
We are not vegetarian (offspring are), but we don’t have a lot of meat at home. Maybe have more if we are eating out “as a treat”.

:hello:Morning, I've got the sniffles/cold again
Done the ironing so all I have to do now is microwave my chickedn curry.

Mike,
I have just googled it. £2.00 a box/block at Morrisons. So a cheap option.
Google says it needs boiling to remove the bitterness.....is that correct ?

Not sure: didn’t read the pack 🫣

We were cooking it with the other bits, so perhaps that was needed. It didn’t smell of much at all out of the pack.

We have a tin of it from a whole food shop: I think that can be eaten from the tin…

20 mile spin with the wife, very pleasant although weather changed from dull, overcast threatening to rain to bright sunshine and back again.
Nice to get out for some fresh air though.
