Life can be bizarre. I have just washed a casserole dish and found myself wondering if Helen Mirren enjoys cooking for herself and for dinner parties. 🤔 It's a worry.

Anyway. Important matters. A few weeks ago I found the ladybirds. I knew many came inside last autumn but couldn't find them. It turns out they like to hide behind the frame fixing for roller blinds.

The last few days they've started to come out of hibernation. It must be increasing day length as nothing else has changed. They're everywhere. I liberate them on to the kitchen windowsill flower box. I'm not sure Mrs P is quite so thoughtful or generous........

Good morning all.
A cloudy day in prospect with the possibility of some showers later on.
The car is going to the garage later, hopefully they'll be able to dort out the intermittent starting problems which I think is the starter motor/solenoid.
The first of the bin lorries has been down our road.
It's all go at the moment.

Morning all.
Light rain all day here. It seems foggy but that should clear.
I'm trying to get myself psyched up for an Aldi dash but may leave that till tomorrow, I'll see what my 2nd coffee tells me to do.

ENGINE WARNING LIGHT !!
3rd time this has happened. The other 2 cost me money. Its a low-ish mileage petrol auto Astra so is not prone to this problem.
Its due a service anytime soon.

One of my favourite rides was ON THE
Wirral. It took me to a beautiful place called Parkgate (ebiker will know this) and
there you would find TWO ice cream shops......they were adjacent and both
actually made thier own ice cream.
There was always people claiming one or the other was best.
I have had both and can say, they are different but equally nice.

When I was little we used to go there.
We used a little shop at the North end of the front which was basically a lean-to on the end of a restaurant
I remember being in the back of our Moris Minor - Dad would have been in the driver's seat and Mum in the passenger's seat
I was in the back with the dog - a Corgi - who knew the routine and rules perfectly

Mum would go to the window and get 3 cornets and a wafer (for dad)
one cornet for her, one for me
and one for the dog - which was the rules!
we would sit in the car eating them with my Mum holing the cornet for the dog who gently licked it
and I would lick mine until I need the actual cornet trimming down
Mum always did that because I had Coeliac Disease and was not allowed wheat at the time (long story but it has come back!)

anyway - that is one of my earlier and clearest memories of early childhood

I MIGHT had ridden a bike round there a few time and MIGHT have had an Ice Cream there occaisionally!- I mentioned it to my Dad many years later and he was amazed at how far away from home I rode in my teens!

She probably buys Charlie Bingham ready meals

Glad it's not just me. I often have the most random thoughts pop into my head for absolutely no reason.

Another chilly and misty start here but there's a faint brightness in the sky today so I'm hoping the mist might burn off.

Walk walked and had scrambled eggs and cheese again. I remembered to leave a few crumbs for Molly. She's still licking the plate trying to get every last taste off. 🐱
