Good morning. Dark. I feel like shite.......and it's going to get worse...........I have to go to Ewood this afternoon. 🤣🤣

We have three granddaughters. #1 and #3 love a sleepover, so do we. Great fun. #2 is here on a sleepover, that's not so great. She knows mum and dad aren't around. At bedtime there was a lot of inconsolable screaming for Daddy. She eventually exhausted herself and fell asleep sitting up at 11.20pm. At 5.10am she woke, screaming for Daddy. Consequently Granddad feels totally nackered.

On the plus side she's a gorgeous little thing and I love that when she's sad she trusts me enough to bury herself on Granddad's chest. 🥰

The BR fan spokesman was on tv yesterday. He's trying to get the fans to ban boycott today's game.

I can't rely on my wife to help with the driving as she will only drive locally and refuses point blank to drive on the motorway , so anywhere further than 10 miles from home, I must drive.

I was fortunate in that my wife was a good driver and I felt relaxed with her at the wheel. She even passed the "pass plus" test which is more than I did.

I've never particularly liked driving, which is ironic as in very good at it and have the class 1 ticket to prove it.

Conversely, I used to love riding motorbikes but was pretty hopeless at it and failed the course, although I managed to get my off road ticket so could ponce about on the DR350's.

When i worked in the Shell group I took a Police Defensive Driving course, it was very good.
I failed my motorbike test and stupidly didn't bother again.

Yet another good reason to not be on Felchbook.

It can be useful (if you use it carefully).
My daughter gets good leads for her reflexology business and just this week I asked for recommendations for a decorator. Got about 12 and 3 of them recommended the same guy.
But it is full of crap.

Do you want chapter and verse? I haven't heard much of the current boycott movement which demonstrates how poorly it has been promoted. Largely they preach to the converted.

I have direct, personal abusive experience of previous methods employed by similar movements. Last time the tactics employed were deeply offensive. Fans like me who continue to attend are viewed with utter contempt.

Do you know what an Asset of Community Value is? Anfield used to be, perhaps still is, covered by one. Ewood Park has been covered by an ACV for 10 years. Guess who single-handedly obtained that?

I've been there, done it and got the T-shirt.

Morning all from a sunny Coventry ( not that it’s going to stay that way 😂 ) .
A walk has been taken and croissants have been collected and we are now back home drinking coffee.

Re driving , I am the same in noticing that driving long distances is definitely harder than it used to be .
Mrs exlaser is a really good driver but as we are still running two cars at the moment , we tend to stick to driving our own cars most of the time.
One slight bone of contention between us re driving is she has a habit when we are driving a long way, is to ask me to drive first and say she will take over when I am tired . Then when I say I am tried and want to swap over , she says she is too tired too. 😂😀

Cardie's are awesome! Only recently started wearing one which I picked up in the Edinburgh Uniqlo shop. Daughter has one too, she's a schoolteacher and is embracing the stereotype.
I see you're going for the the " Dennis Healy " style eyebrows 😉

I needed to check on something someone had on the WWW
links led me to their Linkedin account

SO while I was there I looked at mine

I found this description of me

"Highly skilled IT professional/Teacher/Trainer with significant experience gained delivering a variety of roles at differing levels of authority in range of delivery environments. Outgoing communicator with outstanding people skills, can be relied upon to share and pollute others with his contagious positive enthusiasm."

Bloomi' Heck - how desperate/drunk was I when I came up with the load of carp!!!

Doesn't mention "a very high level of cynicism leading to an expectation that people - especially teachers and managers who are allowed anywhere near a computer - will cock things up in amazingly unexpected ways and generally behave in ways that cannot be explained by having a brain
But a totally conflicting high level of optimism that we will sort it all out in time for the level of damage to be low no matter how moronic the users of the computers behave"

I think the original was suggested by a very good redundancy consultant I spent a lot of time with when I was made redundant some time ago. Can't think of anyone else who would come up with words like that - that I would not have totally ignored!!!
