It's been a cold day down here, the wind was biting. The rain started a couple of hours ago and is set to continue all night.

Nah, the smaller white stuff, that looks like dust on the lens.

Well, it was so nice here I plugged Rob O’Mow, our robotic mower, in for the first time since November.
He managed about half the lawn (battery very low so mostly had to recharge) 💪
…but now it is pouring down. Bah!

More comedy tomorrow night, after a couple of great shows last night…..

Pete, I used to have the same problem with the powder drawer of the washing machine. I was told that I should leave the drawer open after the wash had finished. I tried that and it's not 'gunged up' since. Its 2 months now and it's totally clear. Worth a try if you dont already do it.

We use liquid laundry detergent. Just pour a measure full over the clothes. Simples as that Meerkat says.

We have a woodpecker that comes to our garden.
I was going to have beef spaghetti today, then I remembered Ash Wednesday - opps
so changed that to fish and chips.
I leave my washing machine door slightly open to stop mould.

At my age I am exempt from fasting and abstinence.

We can't get religious here and this is purely because it interests me.........
What is the "no meat" based on ie health or the Bible etc?
Is it 'all meat' ie my daughter makes a lovely turkey meat blognese but they won't eat beef for ethical reasons (im sure turkeys feel better than cows at slaughter time )

It is alleged that one of the Popes introduce the abstinence rule for Fridays to support the local fishing industry so abstinence means no animal or bird meats, only fish.
