I actually made four but one sold straightaway. Think I've hit the mother load.

Well that was a funny old spin...the head wind followed me around a circular route  the forecast hasnt been vey accurate lately, especially wind strength ie a 5mph shouldnt be strong enough to blow yer hat off!
I noticed a house on the outskirts of the town had eggs in his honesty box so nipped back out and managed to get a dozen. It will be interesting to see if they taste better than supermarket eggs. I would suspect so as they are proper running about hens. 🐔

24,000 steps done already.
They certainly are tastier! i made a plain omelette and thought wow! what a difference! Only trouble is road side eggs seem to be much more expensive these days.

Do they show a price or do you give what you feel appropriate?
I sometimes get them from the farm shop as they are from thier own hens but tbh i find the Aldi extra large very tasty and with long use by dates.

They were £2 for 6 which I think is very reasonable? I took a dozen and stuck £5 in the jar.

I retired five years ago, then I got a part time job building bikes at the local Trek shop for fun. Over the past couple of years bikes have become terrible to work on. Internal routing, hydraulics and electronics are bad enough but throw in poor build quality from the factory and a one hour build becomes a two hour pain because you have to disassemble something just to assemble it properly.

yesterday I spent over four hours building a bike. The dropper post cable was jammed in the frame and couldn’t be connected until I pulled the frame covers to remove the internal battery. Then one of the brakes was dry so I had to bleed the brake. Then one of the rotors was bent and needed twenty minutes to correct. Last week I spent six hours on one build and that one isn’t done yet. That’s not fun, that’s a pain… so I’m retired again. Good bye Trek

I used to work with a bloke who got old bikes from a scrap dealer and built them up for fun
then sold them for whatever he could get for them

Might be an option??
or work for a charity bike thing
or start one yourself

Right - What year is it???

I'm asking because I have just got a letter from the Inland Revenue
and they have sent me a cheque!!!!

What on Earth am I supposed to do with that???
not seen one for a few decades or so!!!

Luckily I have a Santander account and - by some miracle - they still have a bran open on our high street
so I will go down there on Monday and see what you have to do with cheques

apart from registering them as an historic relic!!

There’s is a local bike charity that I spent time at during last winter’s slow period. I’m sure they’ll be delighted to spend some of my spare time.

and it’ll be fun too boot.

Some banks let you take a photo of the cheque and deposit it online. I know I can with TSB.

Sunny now but thankfully not quite as warm as yesterday. Another little wander done so I think that’s me done at 31,000 steps.
